Don’t Let Go

New song! Don’t Let Go

http://www.myspace.com/leliabroussard

Yes, I wrote this song. I live in Los Angeles..just moved here from NYC after I signed a publishing deal with Rondor/Universal. Thank you so much for watching, listening, and for all of your wonderfully kind words!!

Here are the lyrics:
(L.Broussard, R. Harris)
we never took our time doin anything
i’ll be your steady ground when you
feel like you’re gonna break down
grab hold of my hand and don’t let go
baby don’t let go
i’ll be right here when you get home

slowly i’m feeling that
surely you’re the one for me
nobody moves me
quite like you do

i never thought that i could
love somebody real
and let them love me
so don’t let go

i tried to prove to myself that i didn’t need you,
i walked out of the door
said i can’t take no more
and you said grab ahold of my hand
don’t let go baby don’t let go
you said ill be right here when you get home

i know nothin lasts forever
i don’t know we could be headin
sometimes i feel so lost
but don’t let go
don’t let go

Magnolia Sisters live at Down Home Music

The Magnolia Sisters did a live set at Down Home Music in El Cerrito, California. April 3, 2010. This is some down-home cajun and creole music from Louisiana. Ann Savoy is also in the Savoy Family Band. You can catch her on my other video called “Eunice Two Step”. Enjoy the music and support your local musicians. Thanks for watching!

Death Comes To Louisiana – a BP Protest Song by MOTU @ The 2010 Barrier Beach Blues Festival

The BP oil spill in the Gulf is an unacceptable situation that never should have occurred! It is appalling that corporations have a license to kill without any of the same ramifications that would result from an “individual” doing the same crimes! This video taken at The 2010 Barrier Beach Blues Festival is a live performance of MOTU (Dr Richard Michelson) playing one of his original songs, “Death Comes To Louisiana” which is a protest song about this horrific situation. He is joined on stage by vocalist Dee Chetta. 50 years ago, musicians and poets changed the world by pointing out injustices through lyrics and poetry. Show your support by passing the link to this song on to your friends and maybe together we can once again change the world! Remember the folks in Louisiana, and the rest of the Gulf who have had their whole way of life taken away from them. And remember the innocent people on that rig, and wild life, that have died because a large corporation was allowed to cut ‘safety’ corners just to increase profits.

Check out more of MOTU’s music on his TENTH released CD which spent 4 months on CDBaby’s Editor’s Picks List and also received RAVE reviews from known music journals like Elmore Magazine. MOTU was also a SemiFinalist Winner in the 2009 International Blues Challenge (IBC) and is a recent winner of two BILLBOARD World Music Awards!
